This Policy governs how Stephen Wise Temple ("Organization") moderates content on Spirit Of Shabbat ("Platform"). It applies to all content — text, images, video, audio, links, files, and any other media — in both public and private contexts. It is part of our and works alongside our and .
| Principle | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Safety first | Protecting users from harm is the highest priority |
| Consistency | Standards apply fairly and uniformly |
| Proportionality | Responses match severity |
| Context | Intent, impact, and circumstances matter |
| Due process | Users may understand and appeal decisions |
We operate under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512), the CCPA/CPRA, federal and California child exploitation laws, and California Penal Code provisions regarding threats, harassment, and intimate images. Section 230 protects our right to moderate content in good faith.
The following content is prohibited regardless of the medium, method of creation, or technology used to produce it.
Content in this category results in immediate permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement:
The following may be permitted with appropriate framing and content warnings:
Content Warning Format: CW: [Description] at the beginning of the post, with sensitive content behind spoiler tags.
AI-generated content is subject to the same standards as any other content. Additionally:
[AI-Generated] or [Synthetic Media]The technology used to create harmful content does not change whether it is harmful.
We maintain absolute zero tolerance for child exploitation. The Platform requires all users to be 18+.
Under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, we report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) within 24 hours via CyberTipline. Reports include the content, account information (email, IP, device info), relevant communications, and timestamps. We fully cooperate with subsequent law enforcement investigations.
We use hash-matching (PhotoDNA), AI detection, trained human review, community reporting, and behavioral analysis to identify CSAM and grooming behavior.
If you are a victim of non-consensual intimate imagery:

Reporter identity is kept confidential. Good faith reports will not result in action against the reporter. Retaliation against reporters is a serious violation. Knowingly false or weaponized reports are prohibited.
Depending on severity and context, we may: take no action, add a content warning, reduce content visibility, remove content, restrict features, temporarily suspend, permanently ban, or refer to law enforcement.
| Tier | Examples | Typical Response |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Off-topic posting, accidental rule-breaking | Warning, content removal |
| Moderate | Harassment, hate speech, repeated minor violations | Removal + temporary restriction |
| Serious | Severe harassment, graphic content | Removal + suspension (7-30 days) |
| Severe | CSAM, NCII, credible threats, doxxing, illegal activity | Immediate permanent ban + legal referral |
Repeat violations result in escalating consequences. Accounts may be permanently terminated for any severe violation, accumulated serious violations, ban evasion, threatening moderators, or endangering the community.
You may appeal moderation decisions (except CSAM violations and decisions already upheld on appeal).
To appeal: Submit to [email protected] or use the in-app "Appeal" button. Include the case reference, your account information, the specific decision, and your grounds for appeal.
Appeals are reviewed independently (by a moderator not involved in the original decision) within 7 business days (14 for complex cases). Outcomes: upheld, modified, or reversed. Decisions are final.
We update this Policy as needed. Material changes are announced through the Platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
